CSI, Cold, Church

Okay so cold is an understatement! What can I say...I HATE cold weather. I can't wait until summer...and I hope it's a HOT one. So hot that you walk outside and you're fried within seconds. YESSSSS. (Part of this demented mindset might come from the fact that I've lived in a FREEZING basement all year long for 3 years now). Oh well.
I'm still visiting the other church with my sister and I still love it. I still get sudden urges to drive away and go live somewhere else, far away from every single person that I know, but visiting a different church for a while should help some. Maybe.
Oh...ha, so I'm NOT a huge fan of watching tv, right? Well I have found a tv show that I love. CSI: NY. It's great! I've heard about it several times and it's been around for a long time, but I watched my first episode this week. I love it. So...now I'll be watching recordings of it whenever I get some free time. :)

Geology?

HELLO BLOG WORLD!
It's been forever since I posted anything due to the holidays and school. I'm taking a pre-session Geology class so I pretty much eat, sleep, live and breathe Geology right now. Joy. It's not too bad though. I just have one test left and the final and a bunch of huge reading assignments and multiple things to turn in! Okay so maybe it's a little stressful. Only a little though. Squeezing an entire semester into 10 days of 4-hour class periods is pretty much amazing.
The real Spring semester starts on the 20th for me, and I'm excited about the rep. my piano instructor chose for me this time. I'm taking 20 hours, and as soon as the new advisor figures out what she's doing, I'm going to switch to a double major. I'm super excited.
Also, I'm really hoping and praying about a summer job that a good friend of mine can help me get. It will help TREMENDOUSLY, so I'm excited about that too.
Well...hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go!

Ohh, the weather outside is frightful

You know it's cold outside when your nosehairs freeze. Mmhm.
I think that if it has to be cold, that it should snow. What's the point of being freezing outside if it doesn't snow? :P
Time to bring out the heavy duty coats!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

'Tis the season to be jollyy. Okay, yes. I'm just a LITTLE excited for Christmas. ;)

Lately I've found a new addiction. Hot tea. Maaan that stuff is good. My choir teacher has two huge drawers in her studio that are full of every flavor of tea imaginable. She has a pitcher of water that heats up at the touch of a button, and another for cold water. Every time I go to her studio (which became more and more frequent for a while) she offers me hot tea. I found the most AMAZING kind of tea the second time this happened. Gingerbread Spice. Lemme tell ya folks, it is YUMMY.
All of that to say, I've had throat problems this past week and decided to go buy myself some hot tea so I wouldn't use all of my teacher's tea. I bought three boxes of the Gingerbread Spice and one other box made especially for throat comfort. Along with that I also bought some throat lozenges. :) I'm a happy camper.
Today when I got home from school I practiced cello for a bit, and then I got in my "hot beverage mood." I had run to grab my check from work during the day and a fellow employee was there and gave me some marshmellows to put in some hot chocolate. But these aren't just regular marshmellows. No sir. They were dipped in powdered sugar and milk to make a frosting, and then dipped in crunched candycanes!

How cute is that!? And since I LOVE hot drinks...I made some hot chocolate, put the marshmellows in, and used my favorite mug to do so. :)

I love Christmas time. :)

HALLELUJAH

Phew! These past two days seem to have gone by so slow! But they were worth it.

My parents took me car shopping yesterday, and my dad took me again today. We weren't having much luck...my dad wanted something reliable and affordable, I wanted something sporty and fast. Two completely different viewpoints ended up causing some...issues.

But we got through it! While walking through the last lot of the day with a salesman, the three of us turned a corner and there sat a silver PT Cruiser. I gasped, my dad grinned, the salesman laughed, and well...I have a car now!!!

*Smiles*

Okay so I'm pretty much excited right now. My mom and dad are taking me shopping for something pretty awesome. I won't disclose this information on here...so if you want to know what I'm shopping for, you'll have to contact me in some other way. ;) BUT...I am VERY excited. :D
